The upper grill is a silhouette of running horses, and the lower grill is a stylized barbed-wire motif. Hand-hammered iron bars are accented with copper rivets reminiscent of the reinforced seams on the pockets of denim trousers. The twisted wire entwined around the face depicts a cowboy lariat. Optional detail pieces, two Texas stars and a steer head, are finished in a natural rust patina.

Both the Rawhide DVS and DVL direct vent fireplaces feature the patented Ember FyreTM burner that is so realistic, you and your guests will believe it's a real wood fire. A quiet blower is built into these high performance (up to 85% efficient) gas fireplaces and gently assists in circulating the warmth throughout your home. The direct vent system minimizes heat loss and maintains indoor air quality. The standing pilot/millivolt system generates enough electricity to continue operating the fireplace even when the power goes out.
